See a Consultant Cardiologist From Home
When travel is difficult or you want specialist advice sooner, a virtual consultation lets you discuss your heart symptoms, concerns and existing results by video or phone. Appointments are often available the same day, with no GP referral needed.
Who a Virtual Consultation Can Help
Available wherever you are in the UK, this can be a useful first step or follow-up when you need clarity about:
Palpitations or an irregular heartbeat
Review of non-emergency chest pain
High blood pressure or high cholesterol
Abnormal ECG, Holter or echocardiogram results
A family history of heart disease
Follow-up advice for an existing cardiovascular condition
New, severe or rapidly worsening chest pain may be an emergency and is not suitable for an online appointment. Learn more about cardiovascular disease from the NHS.

Consult your cardiologist
Talk through your symptoms, history, medication and previous test results by video or phone.
Receive a personalised report
Receive a clear summary and any prescriptions, referrals or next steps, usually the same day.

What You Need

- • Recent ECG, Holter or echocardiogram results, if available
- • Your current medication list and medical history
- • A quiet, private place for the appointment
What Remote Cardiology Can — and Cannot — Do
A virtual appointment is a specialist consultation, not a postal testing service. Your cardiologist can review test results you already have, such as an ECG, Holter recording or echocardiogram, alongside your symptoms and medical history.
If an examination or diagnostic test is needed, the clinic will arrange it in person at the National Heart Clinic on Harley Street. Dr Balerdi's existing monitoring services are also explained on the Zio patch, 24-hour heart monitor and blood pressure monitoring pages.
Insurance Cover
Online consultations are covered by most major UK health insurers, including Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality and WPA. Confirm cover and any authorisation requirements with your insurer before booking. Self-pay pricing is confirmed before you book.
